Zhidongxi live report from Hangzhou, October 27 — Just now, Rokid (Leqi Rokid) released its second-generation AI glasses, Rokid Glasses 2, along with its first full-color AI glasses, Rokid Color, and the smart ring used with the glasses, Rokid Ring — three major new products.

Compared with the previous generation, Rokid Glasses 2 is more comfortable to wear and has longer battery life. It is equipped with Qualcomm AR+ and a 6nm Hengxuan chip, and phenomena such as the distracting rainbow patterns in the middle of the lenses are greatly reduced.

Based on Rokid Prism technology, the AI glasses can also connect to all desktop agents, including Hermes, Codex, OpenCode, OpenClaw and others, letting users directly "command" them to do things through the glasses.

As the "One More Thing" of the launch event, Zhu Mingming took the stage to unveil Rokid Color, the company's first full-color AI glasses.

AI glasses can finally watch videos, and checking stocks no longer means a screen "covered in green" — all apps enter a colorful world.

Zhu Mingming specifically mentioned that Rokid has waited 12 years for this moment, that he himself has waited 15 years since Google's 2012 launch event, and that roughly a thousand supply chain partners around them have waited nearly 20 years.

In Zhu Mingming's view, this is a true "iPhone moment," with smart glasses formally entering a new era.

He further explained: Rokid Glasses is a "tool," while Rokid Color is "content." In the past, the industry had not formed a closed loop; today, AI glasses products have formed their own closed-loop ecosystem. In the future, content generated by all other devices will be consumed on AI glasses. Rokid will work with the industry to make this happen within 2-3 years.

To solve the interaction problem, Rokid also released the 1,699-yuan Rokid Color "Leqi Magic Ring," enabling "micro-gesture" mid-air interaction.

Slide a finger to switch songs, snap your fingers to take a photo, rotate your finger to switch apps, and adjust volume.

Zhu Mingming believes that micro-gesture operation through the ring will become an "industry standard" in the future.

At the opening of the launch event, Zhu Mingming said his team calls him "Big Leaky Ladle" because he often intentionally or unintentionally "leaks" information online, but in his view, this new product is packed with substance — no matter how much is revealed beforehand, what can still be presented at the launch event remains very significant.

Rokid Glasses 2 starts at 3,699 yuan, with a starting price of 3,199 yuan after national subsidy.

Rokid Ring's "close friend presale price (for users who have bought Rokid glasses and not returned them)" is 998 yuan.

Rokid Color starts at 4,999 yuan. Zhu Mingming admitted that this price is "not making money, just making friends."

In an interview after the event, when talking about future industry competition, Zhu Mingming said that when supply chain technology matures, the supply chain will become a "common denominator," and at that point each team's characteristics will be fully displayed. Rokid's characteristic mainly lies in its ecosystem; currently Rokid's ecosystem capability is "one of a kind globally," and Rokid's value as a human-computer interaction platform will become more prominent, rather than as a single hardware device.

Facing the AI era, Zhu Mingming said that basically all of Rokid's capabilities are closely centered on AI; for example, the ring can achieve such an excellent interaction experience, which also relies heavily on AI. Faith in AI is the key to Rokid's ability to take off, and the industry's consensus on AI is what has created Rokid's current situation.

Zhidongxi experienced Rokid Color on site at the first opportunity. Its color display effect and clarity are clearly superior to the "color-screen version" Meta Ray-Ban concept device that Meta previously showed at a launch event, and the interaction operation with the ring is also relatively smooth.

1. JBD exclusively customizes a "mung bean"-sized full-color optical engine, and the ring becomes a new solution for glasses interaction

The binocular full-color display Rokid Color has its weight controlled at 55g, and its positioning remains "all-weather wear."

At the technical level, Rokid exclusively customized a 0.16cc Micro-LED full-color optical engine with manufacturer JBD. This optical engine is about the size of a mung bean, supports 16.77 million colors, and has a color gamut of 167% sRGB.

How exactly should full-color AI glasses interact? This issue is one of the biggest challenges Rokid faces.

The industry has products such as wristbands, hand bands, and touch rings used with AI glasses, but Zhu Mingming believes these are all transitional solutions. To solve the industry's pain points, they developed Rokid Ring, which he calls "the interaction method of the next era." Its Chinese name is "Leqi Magic Ring."

Rokid Ring's control method is "micro-gesture operation," for example lightly sliding the thumb on the index finger to switch songs, snapping fingers to take a photo, or rotating a finger to scroll the app carousel or adjust volume.

Rokid Ring can also treat any flat surface as a "touchpad" and can recognize "two-finger scrolling," with an operating experience just like using a mouse.

It is worth mentioning that this ring also has basic health monitoring and management functions.

2. Optimized comfort for all-day wear, thinner temples but longer battery life

The first new product released today is Rokid Glasses 2. Although its functions have been upgraded, judging from its exterior design, its temples are even a bit thinner than those of the previous generation. Zhu Mingming mentioned that this would not have been possible without the support of Qualcomm's latest chip.

In response to feedback from first-generation users, the team focused on optimizing the comfort of wearing the glasses. Rokid Glasses 2 beta users gave positive feedback, and the proportion of users who wear them "all day" is higher.

For example, one detail is that the temple design is more flexible, and the opening angle of the temples is 22% larger than that of the previous generation, accommodating users with more head shapes; the nose pads feel softer to the touch.

In the optical part, the waveguide traces on Rokid Glasses 2 are fainter and harder to notice in daily use. In terms of data, the lens transmittance reaches 98%, and the transmittance in non-grating areas is 98%. Reflectivity and rainbow patterns have been reduced by 70% and 60% respectively, while optical efficiency has instead increased by 30% compared with the previous generation.

A magnetic myopia frame can meet the needs of nearsighted users, who can get an eye exam and glasses fitted in stores. Zhu Mingming specifically mentioned that at the flagship specialty store in Hangzhou, monthly sales can reach 200-300 units, which is very considerable.

Rokid Glasses 2 has received key upgrades in sound quality, supports Dolby audio, and the microphone has better wind noise resistance. Rokid also added a bone conduction microphone to the glasses.

It is worth mentioning that while the temples of Rokid Glasses 2 are one-third thinner, the battery capacity has also increased by 25% compared with the previous generation, and the overall battery life is said to reach about 50% longer.

The second-generation charging capsule, together with the charging case, has a total capacity of 2170mAh, can charge the glasses 6 times, and can charge to 90% in 30 minutes, basically freeing users from battery anxiety.

Rokid offers users Rokid Care insurance at 199 yuan/year and 299 yuan/year.

So how does Rokid Glasses 2 actually perform in use? Rokid product manager Zhang Tao provided an interpretation.

Overall, the AI in Rokid Glasses 2 is more agile, smarter, and more considerate. Specifically, its wake-up response is more sensitive, intent recognition is more accurate, it has long-term memory, and it can also proactively provide intelligent reminders.

In terms of functions, the AI meeting notes in Rokid Glasses 2 support one-click AI recording, summarization, and to-dos, automatically generate to-dos, and support mixed recording in multiple languages.

It is worth mentioning that in terms of accessibility, Rokid Glasses 2 supports proactive reminders and proactive obstacle avoidance; during meetings, the AI can understand conversations, distinguish speakers, and summarize.

In terms of core hardware configuration, Rokid Glasses 2 is the first in China to launch the first-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon AR1+ platform, and is equipped with the Bestechnic BES2900BP chip, adopting a dual-chip architecture. This Bestechnic chip uses a 6nm process.

In terms of photography, Rokid Glasses 2 has upgraded its snapshot capability, with shutter speed increased by 100%.

In addition, Rokid Glasses 2 uses a 1GM5P glass-plastic hybrid lens, and the CMOS remains 12 megapixels. Judging from actual photos, there is less noise in low light and dark details are clearer; portrait mode has stronger resolving power, with improvements in skin details and facial texture; in backlit scenes, highlights are not overexposed and there is more detail in dark areas.

In terms of video, Rokid conducted a year of joint tuning with Qualcomm and launched the industry's first video "Super Night" algorithm on AI glasses. Simply put, it relies on AI noise reduction and hardware acceleration such as ISP and NPU to achieve frame-by-frame optimization of night scene image quality.

It is worth mentioning that with Rokid's ring accessory, Rokid Glasses 2 can achieve "finger-snap photography."

4. Ecosystem becomes Rokid glasses' key killer feature

Cai Guoxiang, vice president and ecosystem head of Leqi Rokid, took the stage to share Rokid's progress in the ecosystem.

Cai Guoxiang mentioned that Rokid is not simply a smart glasses hardware company; the ecosystem is what can bring the greatest value to users. Rokid has more than 47,000 registered developers, more than 700 agents already listed, and more than 130 AIUI agents listed.

In terms of office work, Rokid cooperated with Tencent WorkBuddy to release the first office agent in the AI glasses field, which can organize data, look up information, and write weekly reports; it cooperated with Qoder to release the Xiao Q agent; and it cooperated with Qianwen Office to connect the DingTalk ecosystem, so users can have AI do work for them with a single sentence.

In terms of life services, Rokid cooperated with Xiaohongshu, and users can use Xiaohongshu's Mishu agent through AI glasses to find stores and select products; it cooperated with Meituan, and users can scan a code with the glasses to open food delivery locker doors.

Through cooperation with Tencent Travel Services, users can also hail a ride with the glasses.

Rokid released Rokid Prism, a desktop agent AI glasses connector. Simply put, all kinds of desktop agents can be connected, invoked, and used to execute tasks through AI glasses.

5. "Except for the North and South Poles, wherever there is land, there are Rokid glasses"; in the first half of the year, it ranked global No. 1 in share of AI glasses with displays

In his speech, Zhu Mingming focused on sharing stories between Leqi glasses and users, from which it is not hard to see how this company and its CEO view users.

Zhu Mingming mentioned that almost 2 hours of his workday are spent browsing content posted by everyone on major platforms and communities, and what he cares about most is whether the product truly helps people in daily life.

In Zhu Mingming's words, on Earth, except for the North and South Poles, wherever there is land, there are Rokid glasses, covering 174 countries and regions. The proportion of tech professionals among Rokid users has already fallen below 16%, and in his view, Rokid has truly "broken out of the circle."

According to a Nielsen report, as of the first quarter of 2026, Leqi AI glasses ranked first in brand sales share in the Chinese market for three consecutive quarters.
