Peter Steinberger on Claude Code's new rule: you should build your own harness
A post claims that around October 27, Claude Code pushed down a new rule named "tengu_heron_brook" via Anthropic's servers, and it cannot be turned off: you can build original games, but you must not recreate a specific existing game. Commenting on this, Peter Steinberger said this is yet another reason to use your own harness rather than one whose permission scope a company can change at will.

There’s no setting to turn it off. The full rule: “Do build original games, games in a genre, and games from the user’s own designs and assets. Don’t build a recreation of a specific existing game, even if it is renamed or called original.” Is this the end of game rewrites, modding and everything in between?
