Anthropic Appoints Harvard Astrophysicist Chris Stubbs to the Trust That Controls Its Board

Anthropic has appointed Harvard University astrophysicist Christopher Stubbs to its Long-Term Benefit Trust, filling one of the trust's two vacant seats; the trust has the power to select a majority of the company's board seats. Stubbs is the first physicist to join the trust, and he will work alongside Ben Bernanke, Richard Fontaine, and trust chair Neil Buddy Shah. Anthropic confidentially submitted a draft registration statement to the SEC in June, and outsiders expect an IPO as early as next month, at which point this governance structure may face greater scrutiny.
