BeiwEI Community AI Hackathon opens recruitment: a three-day extreme challenge to take AI ideas from concept to reality 2026-10-21 15:05:51 Source: Shikuang Net Small Large

Military APP Headlines APP

In 1956, the Dartmouth Conference first proposed the concept of "artificial intelligence," and the name "Artificial Intelligence" thus entered history, opening a grand chapter of humanity walking alongside intelligent technology. Seventy years later, artificial intelligence is entering scientific research, industry, and daily life at an unprecedented speed. From generating text, images, and code to building intelligent agents capable of executing tasks, AI is constantly expanding the boundaries of human creation and problem-solving.

However, as AI tools become increasingly powerful, a new question also emerges: when the threshold for accessing technology keeps lowering, what truly determines the value of innovation? The answer may not simply be how many tools one masters or how many models one can invoke, but whether one can discover real needs, raise valuable questions, and transform technological capability into products and solutions that can solve practical problems. The next stage of AI requires not only continued technological breakthroughs, but also more practitioners who can understand scenarios, integrate resources, and drive ideas into implementation.

To this end, the Zhongguancun AI Beiwei Community will hold the "Beiwei Community AI Hackathon" from October 23 to 25. The event is not limited to concept explanations and tool trials, but focuses on real creation, carrying out intensive practice with the goal of producing complete works.

In three days, from understanding the track to initiating creative projects, from team-based practical work to results roadshows, every idea worth exploring has the chance to take its first step toward reality.

The popularization of AI tools has given more and more people the opportunity to participate in innovation. But knowing how to use tools does not mean being able to create products; being able to generate content does not mean being able to solve problems. From a vague idea to a runnable, demonstrable work, the process requires a series of steps including needs assessment, solution design, technical implementation, team collaboration, and results validation. The real challenge often lies not in generating ideas, but in how to turn ideas into reality step by step.

Centering on "combining training with practice and promoting creation through competition," we will build a complete closed loop from cognition to practice and from creativity to results. Under expert guidance, participating trainees will work in small groups around AI application directions to create, completing topic selection, solution design, work development, and roadshow presentations within a limited time. At the event site, trainees will enter different theme groups by drawing lots, seeking new approaches to problem-solving through collaboration and exchange.

Here, what matters is not only the final works presented, but also the entire process from idea to implementation: how to judge whether a need is worth solving, how to choose suitable AI tools, how to balance creativity and technical implementation, and how to give a technical solution real application value.

In today's rapidly evolving AI landscape, technical information is not scarce; what is truly scarce is experience validated by real business and professional guidance that can help you avoid detours. This training camp will invite senior AI experts with practical backgrounds at major internet companies to form a guest and instructor team. They have long worked in frontier directions such as large model applications, AIGC content creation, AI agents, AI intelligent hardware, and industry intelligent implementation, and have led or deeply participated in multiple AI products and projects with hundreds of millions of users.

What they bring is not only an understanding of technological trends, but also practical experience from real projects: how to identify AI application opportunities, how to combine model capabilities with specific business needs, how to handle practical problems during development, and how to give an idea the possibility of further application and commercialization exploration.

Three days of practical combat, completing a full challenge from creativity to roadshow

This is a practical training with clear goals, real tasks, and results assessment. The three-day arrangement progresses layer by layer, so that learning goes beyond understanding and creativity goes beyond discussion.

DAY 1 | October 23: Training Day — Find direction, start creating

From industry insights to AI application cases, from hands-on tool practice to creative project initiation, the first day will help trainees build the foundational understanding needed for practice. After learning about AI tracks and application opportunities, trainees will enter different theme groups by on-site drawing of lots and, under mentor guidance, complete team integration, topic discussion, and preliminary solution design, clarifying creative goals and member division of labor.

DAY 2 | October 24: Practical Day — Deepen development, overcome difficulties

On the second day, the training camp enters the real creation stage. Each group advances work development around its topic, continuously improving technical solutions and optimizing work frameworks through roving mentor coaching and group Q&A, and promptly identifying problems and adjusting direction through mid-term checks.

On this day, teams need to turn ideas into demonstrable interim results, test solutions in practice, and advance progress through collaboration.

DAY 3 | October 25: Roadshow Day — Present results, undergo assessment

On the third day, each group will complete the final polishing of their projects and roadshow preparation, then take the stage to present their results. The judges will comprehensively assess the projects' innovation, technical implementation, practical value, and on-site performance, giving every idea the opportunity to be examined and receive feedback from a professional perspective.

From the direction selection on the first day, to the concentrated effort on the second day, and then to the roadshow assessment on the third day, the three days form a complete practical cycle. At the end of the event, judging, awards, and a closing ceremony will be organized, with one first prize group, one second prize group, one third prize group, and two excellence award groups, plus one "Best Popularity Award" group selected by on-site audience vote. For the participants, this is not only a presentation of results, but also an opportunity to re-examine their projects, understand user needs, and explore directions for further development.

What you bring can be an idea, but we hope that when you leave, you already have a project in hand.

Recruitment opens: Let your idea enter practice

A new application scenario, a more efficient way of working, or a real need that has not yet been fully addressed can all become the starting point for innovation. You do not have to wait until you have all the answers before you start acting, because many valuable answers are born in practice.

How to register: Scan the QR code below to register for the competition immediately (limited spots, first come, first served) / reserve a visit (audience visits can be reserved at the same time).

Seventy years ago, people began to seriously explore whether machines could display intelligence; today, seventy years later, we have increasingly powerful AI tools and more opportunities to turn imagination into reality. The future of AI is defined not only by technological progress, but also jointly shaped by everyone who uses technology and creates value.

From October 23 to 25, let us gather at Zhongguancun AI North Latitude Community, find direction in real problems, validate ideas through hands-on practice, and expand possibilities through collaboration with one another.

Don't just look at whether the model "looks right" | Qichuang Dongli discusses three hard questions in BIM acceptance

Anyone who has attended a BIM project acceptance meeting has probably seen this scene: the model spins once on the big screen, the building outline is clear, the pipelines are distinctly colored, and the presentation materials are filled with "accuracy reaches LOD350," "clash detection completed," and "model consistent with drawings." No one in the meeting room objects, and the acceptance form is smoothly signed. And then? The model is copied onto a hard drive and handed over to the operations and maintenance department. A year or so later, when the property management team wants to check the actual elevation of a concealed pipeline, they open the model and find...

For everyday home use, should you choose a cast iron wok or a carbon steel wok? How to choose more suitably for stir-frying needs

They're both iron woks, yet one tosses light as a feather when stir-frying, while the other takes forever to preheat and still isn't hot through. Both cost a few hundred yuan, yet some people use theirs for three years and it gets smoother and smoother, while others use theirs for a month and it starts sticking and burning—the problem rarely lies in whether the wok is expensive, but rather in never having figured out: given your home's daily frequency and rhythm of pan-frying, stir-frying, stewing, and boiling, should you pair it with a cast iron wok or a carbon steel wok? This article doesn't intend to compare spec sheets with you, nor to take sides and say which one is absolutely better. We want to...
