Nathan Lambert on the Kimi K3.1 Pro Promotion Controversy

AI summary

In response to accusations that Kimi had influencers use a uniform template and lack genuine reviews when promoting its new model Kimi K3.1 Pro, Nathan Lambert believes this was a mistake but expects Chinese labs to correct it; he noted that Chinese labs are very eager to influence the Western ecosystem and X, and that this time they may have gone too far, but he believes they will understand (even if this is partly due to cultural differences).

This is a mistake, but I suspect they will correct. Chinese labs are VERY EAGER to influence the western ecosystem and X, so they likely took a step too far here. They follow the vibes closely and I bet will understand (even if some cultural differences caused this)
