Alibaba's Qoder Wins World Internet Conference Leading Science and Technology Award, Has Served Over 8 Million Users

On November 2, the 2026 World Internet Conference Award Ceremony was held in Wuzhen, Zhejiang, where a total of 20 achievements from around the world were selected, covering fields such as quantum computing, chips, embodied intelligence, and AI applications. With its technological breakthroughs in the agent Harness and its leading global market share, Alibaba's agent platform Qoder won the Leading Science and Technology Award, making it the only general-purpose Agent product in China to receive this award.

The World Internet Conference Leading Science and Technology Award is an international science and technology award for the science and technology and internet fields, aimed at rewarding the world's most leading internet scientific and technological achievements of the year. This year, the conference collected more than 430 scientific and technological achievements from 43 countries and regions. After rigorous evaluation by authoritative experts at home and abroad, only 20 achievements were ultimately selected.

At present, AI programming is one of the fields where global large-model applications are being deployed fastest, and it is also a core battleground for competition among the world's top model startups and technology companies. Relying on Alibaba's years of accumulation in large models, cloud computing, and large-scale engineering practice, Qoder has achieved the joint design of models, the Agent operating framework, and products, enabling the agent to truly understand engineering, autonomously write tools, iteratively explore and advance, and complete R&D tasks, effectively improving the efficiency of task execution.

Qoder is also continuously expanding user usage scenarios. Since its global release in August 2025, the Qoder product family has covered the desktop version, AI-native IDE, command-line tool CLI, JetBrains plugin, digital employee product QoderWake, cloud-based Cloud Agents, and other products, which can meet the needs of different user habits and application scenarios. Users can not only use Qoder on desktop computers to improve efficiency, but also check progress, approve operations, and add instructions on mobile phones. Enterprise users can embed the agent into their products through the SDK to quickly achieve intelligentization, and can also run long-duration tasks in the cloud, providing 24-hour uninterrupted proactive work and proactive service.

At the end of October, Qoder launched a desktop interconnection feature. Users can connect to the Qoder desktop on another device from their commonly used Qoder desktop client, initiate tasks, follow up on progress, and add requirements, while also previewing results generated remotely, further improving efficiency in scenarios such as project development and testing.

At present, Qoder has served more than 8 million users worldwide, and more than 100,000 enterprises, including China Mobile, China Eastern Airlines, and Geely Automobile, have integrated Qoder into their daily development work. In June this year, Gartner released the AI Coding report, and Qoder successfully entered the "Challengers" quadrant, placing it in the same tier as companies such as AWS and Google. In July this year, IDC released the 2025 China AI Programming Market Share Report, in which Qoder ranked first with a market share of 47.6%, exceeding the combined total of the second to fifth places and continuing to lead the Chinese AI programming market.
