iOS 27.3 beta 1 reintroduces the all-new Apple Health app, which was previously tested in iOS 27.2 beta and will roll out to all users next month. The new version includes an Insights tab, a Longevity tab (centered on Health Age, which combines VO2 max, resting heart rate, sleep, and heart rate variability data from Apple Watch), and at-home movement assessments using the iPhone camera and Apple Watch, the latter powered by an on-device vision AI model that never records, stores, or shares video. The app adds support for Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and other languages.

Apple released iOS 27.3 beta 1 today, and it reintroduces the all-new Health app that was first available for testing during the iOS 27.2 beta. Here’s what’s new.

Apple Health in iOS 27.3: Here’s everything new

iOS 27.3 will launch with an upgraded Apple Health app. The new app was initially tested during the iOS 27.2 beta, but it’s back today in iOS 27.3 beta 1 and will ship to all users next month.

Today on Apple Newsroom, the company outlined what to expect from the new Health experience.

Three central new Health features are highlighted for iOS 27.3:

Insights tab: “surfaces timely, holistic summaries spanning heart, sleep, readiness, fitness, vitals, and cycle tracking data throughout the day. A dedicated For You section delivers intelligent recommendations tailored to a user’s daily habits — such as practical guidance to adjust a wind-down routine following consecutive nights of interrupted sleep. The app pairs data with dynamic health content, offering educational videos and articles featuring Health app clinical experts.”

Longevity tab: “analyzes longitudinal metrics across heart health, sleep, mental wellbeing, movement, metabolic health, hearing, and nutrition. Central to this tab is Health Age, a feature that translates data from Apple Watch — including VO2 max, resting heart rate, sleep, and heart rate variability — into a metric that reflects how a user’s body is tracking relative to their chronological age. Users can also incorporate clinical laboratory data, such as A1c and LDL cholesterol, to enrich their long-term health picture.”

At-home movement evaluations: “make physical assessments accessible without requiring specialized equipment. Using an iPhone camera and Apple Watch, users can measure their flexibility, strength, balance, movement mechanics, and VO2 max with real-time audio and visual feedback. Powered by on-device vision-based AI models and developed with clinical experts, the experience runs entirely on device; no video is ever recorded, stored, or shared.“

Additionally, Apple says that the new Health app offers expanded language support. It is available in global English, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), French, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, Turkish, and Vietnamese.
