How to Push AI Night-Vision Module Power Consumption Below 1.5W: An Engineering Battle from System Architecture to Thermal Management

Through model lightweighting, illumination-adaptive scheduling, sensor low-power modes, and power management optimization, the AI night-vision module pushes peak power consumption down to 1.38W while maintaining 0.001Lux full-color imaging. The tested solution uses a 1/1.8" CMOS low-power mode, with a module size of 32×32mm and a weight of 7g; when illumination is sufficient, only the sensor and ISP are enabled, consuming about 0.6W, saving 60% compared with keeping AI on all the time.
