“For this moment, Rokid waited 12 years, and I waited 15 years,” said Zhu Mingming (Misa), founder and CEO of Rokid.

On October 27, the Rokid Jungle 2026 Rokid AI Glasses new product launch event was held in Hangzhou, officially unveiling three new products: Rokid AI Glasses Gen 2, Rokid Color, and Rokid Ring, centered respectively on everyday wear, full-color display, and human-computer interaction.

In terms of pricing, Rokid Color starts at 4,999 yuan, with the tortoiseshell version at 5,499 yuan; Rokid AI Glasses Gen 2 is priced at 3,699 yuan, with the tortoiseshell version at 3,849 yuan; and Rokid Ring is 1,699 yuan. In addition, Rokid Ring has a “close friend” pre-sale price of 998 yuan (available to all users who have purchased Rokid AI Glasses Gen 1 or Rokid AI Glasses Gen 2).

Every Rokid launch event attempts to bring some new increment to the industry and some new technology to the market. But this time, what Rokid has brought out is clearly more substantial: on one hand, an all-in-one AI glasses that integrates full-color display into the glasses body and is truly aimed at the consumer market; on the other, a smart ring that condenses micro-gesture interaction and health monitoring functions onto the fingertip.

AI glasses and smart rings are two types of wearable terminals that have attracted much attention in the AI era. Now, Rokid is trying to combine the two. For Rokid, this may be its most ambitious launch event to date; for the entire industry, the product thinking demonstrated at this event is likewise worth attention.

Note: Some of the AR display effect photos below were taken with a mobile phone. Due to the mismatch between the camera refresh rate and the waveguide refresh rate, as well as platform image compression and other issues, the photos may appear blurry and have color cast. One-to-two full-color AR optics: after a year of waiting, Rokid Color finally makes its debut

Over the past year, rumors about Rokid’s full-color AI glasses have been constant. Today, this highly anticipated new product has finally officially appeared, and it has its own name—Rokid Color. Interestingly, the Color logo’s color scheme inevitably brings Apple to mind. And at the launch event, Misa stated directly: “Today, we begin to enter the iPhone 1 era.”

Behind the so-called “iPhone 1” is the fact that full-color display gives AI glasses a chance to break through the previous information presentation methods dominated by text and symbols, further carrying images, video, and more complex graphical interactive interfaces, truly matching human vision, and providing a foundation for more application ecosystems.

In terms of product form, Rokid Color continues the design approach of all-in-one AI glasses, offering black and tortoiseshell color options, using flexible temples, and supporting IPX4 water resistance. With the addition of the full-color optical engine, the overall weight remains at 55g, and the actual wearing experience is still comfortable.

In terms of optics, Rokid Color adopts a three-color combined full-color Micro-LED plus a diffractive waveguide solution based on surface-relief gratings, with a field of view of 25°, a display resolution of 500×380, a maximum brightness of 1,000 nits, and 16.77 million colors. According to the introduction, its optical engine volume is 0.16CC, only slightly larger than the monochrome green optical engine. Through the one-to-two AR optical architecture, Rokid has integrated full-color display capability into a lightweight glasses form factor.

Rokid AI Glasses Gen 2 (right) compared with Rokid Color (left)

In terms of hardware, Rokid Color is equipped with Qualcomm AR1+Gen1 and Bestechnic BES2800 dual chips, offers 2GB/4GB memory configurations, 64GB storage, and a 263mAh battery, and supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3. In addition, it is equipped with a 12-megapixel camera, a four-microphone array and bone conduction microphone, stereo dual speakers, and retains functions such as temple touch control, a nine-axis IMU, and wear detection.

Compared with previous lightweight AI glasses that mainly used monochrome green display, the most intuitive change in Rokid Color is that it can finally present complete color images. From actual observation, the full-color display effect of this product is quite good. In the scenarios we experienced, there was no obvious large-area color cast in the image, halo control was also relatively ideal, and the color presentation offered a good visual experience. According to on-site staff, because of the RGB three-color Cube color-combining optical engine solution, Rokid spent a great deal of time on full-color calibration.

It is worth mentioning that the current system UI of Rokid Color adopts a visual design similar to frosted glass, and the interface performs well in terms of transparency, color, and layering. Compared with AI glasses in the past that mainly conveyed information through green text and simple icons, the visual quality improvement brought by the full-color UI is quite obvious.

In terms of content experience, Rokid Color already supports full-color real-time photo preview. Users can directly view the camera image through the glasses display area and take a photo after confirming the composition. The on-site demo also included some full-color video content and several full-color mini-games specially designed for the experience.

Although these features are still fairly basic, they already demonstrate the impact of color display on the content formats of AI glasses. For example, photo preview can present more realistic framing information through color images; video content provides application scenarios beyond traditional subtitles and information prompts for the glasses. As for the mini-games, although they currently serve more as a demonstration of the experience, they can also intuitively reflect the possibilities of full-color display in entertainment content.

In Misa's view, further improving the 3D binocular display experience also depends on progress in basic capabilities such as Micro-LED microdisplay resolution, and these technological upgrades ultimately require the supply chain to have the corresponding implementation capabilities. This response also seems to hint at the technical trend Easter egg for the next iteration of Rokid Color.

Of course, whether full-color display can truly drive the adoption of AI glasses also needs to consider application content and user needs. For the current AI glasses industry, this may be a more important issue than display parameters. Full-color technology broadens product capabilities, but which scenarios can keep users using them over the long term still require continuous exploration by manufacturers and developers.

Compared with Rokid Color's exploration of full-color display, the product goal of the second-generation Leqi AI glasses is clearer—focusing on the high-frequency scenarios already validated by the first-generation product, further improving the overall user experience. The product positioning is "all-around AI, peak masterpiece," and it can be seen that Leqi Rokid hopes to continue strengthening the competitiveness of full-function AI glasses through the second-generation product.

In actual experience, the most obvious impression left by the second-generation Leqi AI glasses is, first of all, a major improvement in wearing experience. In appearance, the second-generation Leqi AI glasses adopt a new square-round frame design, with softer overall lines, and are available in two colorways: classic black and tortoiseshell. Compared with the first generation, the new product's exterior design is more mature, and the visual difference from ordinary daily glasses when worn is further reduced.

Especially the tortoiseshell version: the frame texture and overall matching effect are both quite outstanding, reducing the previously rather obvious tech-product feel of some smart glasses. In terms of wearing structure, Leqi Rokid also made considerable adjustments this time.

According to the introduction, the single-green optical engine volume of the second-generation Leqi AI glasses is reduced by 30% compared with the previous generation, and the total length of the optical engine is reduced by about 1 mm, making the core display module more compact. At the same time, the opening angle of the flexible temples is increased by 22% compared with the previous generation, paired with larger medical-grade liquid silicone nose pads, further improving issues such as temple clamping and nose bridge pressure.

In addition to structural adjustments, the optical transparency of the second-generation glasses has also been improved. Leqi Rokid officially stated that the new product, through full-area ultra-low reflection coating, coupling grating coating, and waveguide nanoscale groove texture design, increases lens transparency by 40%, reduces reflectivity by 70%, and improves coupling grating efficiency by 30%. In actual experience, through the waveguide lenses, the purity of the physical world has reached a level similar to ordinary optical lenses.

These improvements mainly target problems that previously existed in smart glasses, such as lens reflection, rainbow patterns, and exposed display areas. For AI glasses with displays, whether the lenses can maintain a visual effect close to ordinary glasses also directly affects users' acceptance when wearing them daily.

In terms of display parameters, the second-generation Leqi AI glasses continue to use a single-green Micro-LED solution, with a field of view of 25°, a resolution of 480×380, and a maximum brightness of 1500 nits. In terms of imaging capability, the upgrade of the second-generation glasses this time is also quite obvious. The new product is equipped with a 12-megapixel OV12M HDR CMOS sensor, adopts a 1GM5P glass-plastic hybrid lens group, supports RAW14 at the highest, and introduces imaging algorithms such as AI RAW multi-frame fusion, AI smart HDR lighting and shadow, and AI true-color stereoscopic portrait.

According to official information, compared with the first generation, the shutter response speed of the second-generation glasses is increased by 100%, making it more friendly to snapshot scenarios. At the same time, the new product supports 4K 30fps and 2K 60fps video recording, and upgrades Super Stabilization 2.0 and the video super night algorithm. Among them, 4K video gives first-person recording a higher image specification; 2K 60fps provides a higher frame rate option for sports and dynamic shooting. As for 720p 120fps slow-motion shooting, Leqi Rokid plans to open it through an OTA upgrade in December.

However, in our view, one of the most noteworthy features of the second-generation imaging is the pre-capture preview. In the past, although some AI glasses had first-person shooting capabilities, users could not confirm the framing range in real time, making composition errors easy to occur. The Leqi AI Glasses 2nd Generation, by contrast, can display the viewfinder image directly on the lenses, allowing users to confirm the subject's position and the frame boundaries before shooting.

In terms of hardware architecture, the Leqi AI Glasses 2nd Generation adopts a dual-chip collaboration between the Snapdragon AR1+ series chip and the Hengxuan BES2800BP, working through the coordination of Android and RTOS dual systems to schedule according to the performance and power consumption requirements of different tasks. Its battery capacity has been increased to 263mAh, a 25% increase over the previous generation. The matching second-generation charging capsule has a capacity of 335mAh, and the charging case has a capacity of 1500mAh. According to official data, when both the charging case and the capsule are fully charged, the glasses can be recharged about 6 times.

In terms of audio, the second generation adopts a four-microphone array and a bone conduction microphone, and is equipped with a new AAC speaker unit, certified by Dolby, further strengthening call, music and AI voice interaction experiences.

These upgrades also give "all-around AI" more concrete product support. At present, there are many different product routes in the AI glasses market. Some manufacturers choose to remove the display module, while others further simplify audio or other hardware functions to reduce weight. Regarding this trade-off, Misa has his own judgment when speaking with the media.

He believes that reducing hardware modules can indeed bring lighter weight and a more fashionable appearance, but it also means giving up some functions. In his view, product design first needs to consider the usage scenarios users truly rely on. When talking about the importance of audio in his daily use, Misa even said bluntly: "Without audio, it just won't work."

Health monitoring + micro-gesture interaction, Leqi Rokid brings "the interaction method of the next era"

In addition to the two AI glasses, Leqi Rokid also officially launched the Rokid Ring this time, which Leqi Rokid says is "the interaction method of the next era."

This product was created by Leqi Rokid in collaboration with MythLink. In addition to working with AI glasses to complete micro-gesture interaction, it also integrates health monitoring capabilities and has independent wearable device attributes.

In terms of hardware, the Rokid Ring features a deep gunmetal color design, with a titanium metal outer ring and an epoxy resin inner ring. It is 6.1mm wide and 2.3mm thick, weighs 1.9g to 2.3g depending on size, and is available in 8 sizes from size 6 to size 13.

Internally, it is equipped with the Nordic nRF54L15 chip, supports Bluetooth 5.4, and features an accelerometer, gyroscope, temperature sensor, and sensors related to heart rate and blood oxygen monitoring. Its protection rating reaches IP68 and 5ATM.

Its battery capacity is divided into three tiers—13mAh, 17mAh and 21mAh—depending on ring size. It supports charging through a portable charging case and can be charged to more than 85% in about 40 minutes. Regarding specific battery life, on-site staff introduced that under expected usage conditions, the ring needs to be charged about twice a week.

In terms of interaction, the Rokid Ring mainly uses its internal gyroscope and, together with the AI glasses, supports actions such as index finger tapping, index finger sliding, index finger rotation, middle finger tapping and finger snapping. For example, users can slide their thumb on the index finger to turn pages or switch, tap to confirm and go back, or use rotation to adjust volume. In addition, snapping fingers can trigger the AI glasses to take photos, record videos and record audio.

In particular, when experiencing mini-games with Rokid Color, if operations were conventionally completed using temple touch controls, users would need to raise their hands frequently. This might be fine for a short time, but over time it inevitably causes fatigue. With the Rokid Ring, users only need slight sliding and tapping between fingers to complete game operations, making the whole process more natural.

The thinness and lightness of the Rokid Ring left a relatively deep impression on us. Compared with the RingConn Gen 3 that the author wears daily, the Rokid Ring is clearly thinner and lighter, feels closer to an ordinary ring when worn, and has a relatively small sense of foreignness.

RingConn Gen 3 (left) and Rokid Ring (right)

In actual interaction with the AI glasses, micro-gesture recognition is generally quite smooth. However, a certain response delay can still be felt at present. According to our on-site experience, the delay from completing an action to the glasses responding is about 0.5 seconds. According to on-site information, the relevant interaction functions are still being debugged, and the team needs to continue optimizing the balance between response speed and false-touch control.

Compared with last year's Meta Ray-Ban Display and EMG wristband interaction solution from Meta, Leqi Rokid's full-color AI glasses + interaction ring has already gone a step further in terms of product evolution. Misa told VR Tuoluo: in his view, wearable interaction devices need to consider the actual operating environment in daily life; wristbands may be covered by clothing in winter, while rings have room worth exploring in terms of convenience of use.

When further discussing the relevant technical route, Misa also admitted that Leqi Rokid's interaction solution was indeed inspired by Meta's related technological exploration. He revealed that in order to find an interaction method more suitable for fine operations, the team had previously carried out nearly a year of exploration.

However, Misa does not want the ring to ultimately become nothing more than a remote control worn on the finger. "So when we can touch our own skin to perform operations, that is a wonderful result," Misa said.

Beyond interaction capabilities, based on internal health sensors, Rokid Ring also supports recording of heart rate, body temperature, blood oxygen, sleep and daily activity data. For Leqi Rokid, the addition of the smart ring means that AI glasses have the opportunity to further reduce their dependence on mobile phones and temple touch controls. In the future, as interaction recognition accuracy improves and functions such as health monitoring continue to be refined, this type of device is also expected to form independent value beyond AI glasses.

Behind the three new products, Leqi Rokid's personal AI terminal layout

From Rokid Color to Leqi AI Glasses Gen 2, and then to Rokid Ring, although the three products have different positioning, they share a relatively consistent product approach behind them: building a more complete personal AI terminal experience around users' daily needs for information acquisition, environmental perception and interaction.

In fact, over the past period, Leqi Rokid has already carried out considerable exploration in the application ecosystem. In payments, Leqi Rokid had previously integrated services such as Alipay and WeChat Pay, allowing users to complete scan-to-pay operations through the glasses; in travel, through cooperation with platforms such as Amap, navigation and related travel services have been brought to the glasses.

At this year's launch event, Leqi Rokid also demonstrated AI agent cooperation with platforms such as Xiaohongshu, Meituan, Tencent Travel, SMZDM, EverMind and Fun Pizsa, further expanding local life service scenarios.

Specifically, users can obtain content recommendations through the Xiaohongshu agent, and use Meituan services to check food delivery information and scan codes to pick up meals; the native AI ride-hailing service launched in cooperation with Tencent Travel allows users to directly complete ride-hailing operations through the glasses. In addition, the "SMZDM" Zhang Dama agent can also help users check product prices and learn about reputation and reviews, while the Cycling Master and Running Master launched in cooperation with EverMind and Fun Pizsa make exercise smarter. The integration of these ecosystem partners further makes AI glasses an entry point connecting various life services.

Leqi Rokid is also connecting AI glasses with desktop agents. The Rokid Prism connector launched this time can synchronize the task progress of desktop agents such as Codex to the glasses, allowing users to check execution status and receive feedback at any time, further expanding the application of glasses in productivity scenarios and responding to this era of Personal Agent.

In addition, Leqi Rokid also revealed that it will further integrate social ecosystems in the future. Judging from the images displayed on-site at the launch event using Rokid Color, it is most likely WeChat. Leqi Rokid has previously integrated WeChat Pay; if in the future it can further bring the complete social and instant messaging capabilities of this national-level app to AI glasses, it will undoubtedly open up more high-frequency usage scenarios for AI glasses.

In office scenarios, Leqi Rokid continues to expand functions such as AI meeting minutes, teleprompting, real-time translation and visual recognition, and has cooperated with agent tools such as Tencent WorkBuddy and Alibaba Qoder, while also integrating Qwen Office and exploring collaboration with office platforms such as DingTalk, allowing glasses to participate in more complex workflows. In addition, the launch event also revealed that Doubao-related office agents are expected to be integrated in the future, further enriching the office ecosystem.

As AI glasses are able to complete an increasing number of tasks, the importance of the application ecosystem is also rising. On this point, Misa has a relatively clear judgment. During media exchanges, he emphasized that what Leqi Rokid hopes to provide is a product experience that can continuously meet user needs, rather than relying only on the brief surprise when users first wear it. Compared with the novelty of the first ten seconds, whether it can continue to create value afterward is the issue that products need to consider more.

He also mentioned that Leqi Rokid needs to find a clear direction among different product forms, and that too many SKUs will disperse company resources. Therefore, the company hopes to explore human-computer interaction and application scenarios in the AI era over the long term.

More interestingly, Misa does not believe that glasses must be the final form of AI interaction. When talking about future product development, he said that if the industry sees a device form more suitable than glasses for carrying AI interaction, Leqi Rokid "will not hesitate to switch to the best product."

This also makes the thinking behind Leqi Rokid's launch of the smart ring easier to understand. As AI glasses further take on tasks such as information display, environmental perception and content processing, their interaction needs will also become increasingly complex. Voice, temple touch controls, rings and other methods each have their own strengths, and whether these devices can form stable, natural and low-latency coordination will affect the actual user experience.

At the hardware level, the balance among weight, battery life and computing power has not yet been completely resolved; at the interaction level, micro-gestures still need further improvements in recognition accuracy and response speed; at the application level, services that can truly replace some high-frequency phone operations still need to be improved.
