Former South Korean Penetration Tester Arrested for Stealing 8.2 Million Records Using ARTEX AI
Seoul police arrested 7 suspects, among whom the main culprit, who had previously worked as a penetration tester, used the ARTEX AI penetration testing framework to attack more than 90 organizations and steal 8.2 million records. In 38 incidents, the suspect demanded 360 million won (approximately $270,000) in ransom in exchange for not leaking the data.
