OpenAI Cancels Plan to Halve ChatGPT Pro 200 Quota, Doubles Usage Quotas Across Pro Tiers

After user pushback, OpenAI announced that it is immediately doubling the usage quotas for Work and Codex in ChatGPT Pro 100, Pro 200, Pro 500, and Business Premium, and canceling its original plan to cut the Pro 200 quota by about 50%. Previously, on September 29, OpenAI notified users that it would reduce quotas, citing improved model efficiency, which sparked dissatisfaction among subscribers. New subscribers will directly receive the updated quotas, and existing users will have them take effect automatically without waiting for renewal; OpenAI also reminds users that Fast mode consumes about 2.5 times the quota of Standard mode, while Ultrafast consumes 8 times as much.
