MIIT: Full-year humanoid robot complete-unit output expected to exceed 100,000 units

Beijing News Shell Finance Report (Reporter Chen Weicheng) On the afternoon of October 19, at a press conference held by the State Council Information Office, Wei Wei, Director of the Department of Science and Technology of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, stated that embodied intelligence is a key vehicle for artificial intelligence to move from the "digital world" into the "physical world," and is becoming an important lever for cultivating new quality productive forces. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology adheres to application as the driving force, focuses on strengthening scenario openness, drives technological innovation and industrial development, deepens ecosystem building and open cooperation, and promotes three "accelerations" in the embodied intelligence industry represented by humanoid robots.

First, scale and volume are accelerating. In the first half of this year, China's humanoid robot complete-machine products exceeded 400 models, with output exceeding 40,000 units, and full-year output is expected to exceed 100,000 units. Second, innovation capacity is accelerating. We have pooled the strengths of industry, academia, and research to tackle a batch of key technologies such as motion control, simulation, and tactile sensing for humanoid robots and embodied intelligence, driving continuous leaps in product performance. Third, industrial application is accelerating. We have implemented a special action for real-scenario practical training of humanoid robots and embodied intelligence, promoting the accelerated validation and deployment of related products in more than 300 key scenarios such as warehousing and logistics, catering and retail, and home services, with complete-machine operation capabilities and scenario adaptation capabilities continuously improving.
