Xinyan Robotics Releases Embodied Family Agent Bubbo 1

Beijing News Shell Finance News (Reporter Chen Weicheng) On October 29, Xinyan Robotics officially released its embodied home agent "Bubbo 1." Ren Yongliang, founder of Xinyan Robotics and chief designer of Bubbo 1, believes that technology determines the lower limit of experience, while interaction determines the upper limit of experience. Looking back at history, every upgrade of the information industry requires not only technological breakthroughs but also innovations in interaction methods. Screen-based interaction methods have always limited the popularization of AI on the consumer side.

"We hope to make Bubbo a magical bridge, returning autonomy to children, returning space to family members, and using AI to inspire human initiative," Ren Yongliang introduced. Xinyan Robotics was founded in 2025 and focuses on the research and development of family emotional intelligent robots. Bubbo 1, launched at this press conference, is based on Xinyan's self-developed Bubbo OS and achieves companion-style interaction.

Huang Yuan, deputy director of the Industry Division I of the Zhongguancun Science City Management Committee, pointed out: "We witness Bubbo entering families, bringing proactive intelligent emotional companionship, truly beginning to implement the concept of 'human-machine symbiosis' in family scenarios, and turning 'being understood and accompanied' into a tangible product experience."

Jia Nan, member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and former deputy director of the National Bureau of Statistics, approached the topic from the perspective of elderly-friendly adaptation, and based on national conditions and data, demonstrated the role and significance of companion robots in home-based elderly care and community-based elderly care scenarios. She proposed that Bubbo should focus on polishing flexible, in-depth, multi-faceted emotional communication functions adapted to different user needs, to meet the spiritual companionship needs of elderly people living alone.

Zhao Yanyan, a long-term professor at the Faculty of Computing of Harbin Institute of Technology and a doctoral supervisor, pointed out that the technical difficulty of robots understanding people and emotions is divided into three levels: emotional perception, emotional cognition, and emotional interaction. These require reliance on rich multimodal signals and sufficient context, and the ability to proactively follow and perceive movement, in order to better complete related tasks. She believes that the core of the product is to implement user memory functions well, achieve precise empathetic personalized responses, and become a family companion that truly understands users.
