Anthropic launches personal finance feature for Claude, allowing users to link bank accounts
Anthropic has added a Personal Finance feature to Claude, allowing users to link bank and credit card accounts for analysis. Claude has only read-only access and cannot transfer, manage, or invest funds. Accounts are connected through Plaid, and Claude cannot see bank passwords; it can access bank names, account names and types, balances and credit limits, and up to two years of transaction history. The feature can track categorized spending, upcoming bills, and unusual spending, find unexpected fees, rising bills, and subscriptions, and generate charts, calendars, and dashboards; related conversations are not used for model training and are not added to shared memory. The feature is launching in beta in the United States for the Pro, Max, and Ultra plans.

The feature can track spending across categories, upcoming bills, and out-of-the-ordinary purchases. It can look for unexpected fees, increasing bills, and subscriptions, plus it can create charts, calendars, and dashboards.
Financial accounts are connected to Claude through the Plaid service, so Claude does not see bank passwords.
