Shadeform Launches Flex VMs to Rent Out Idle GPUs

AI summary

Shadeform has released Flex VMs and Shadeform Spot, which can turn any bare-metal GPU server into rentable cloud compute and get it listed within hours. Rohan Paul believes the key is "no API to build"—all you need is an IP and an SSH key—and that integration work is exactly why idle compute previously struggled to reach buyers.

Some of the most in-demand GPUs on Earth are sitting idle right now, and the teams that paid for them are just eating those costs. Today, we’re launching Flex VMs + Shadeform Spot to fix that👇 https://t.co/vWRKHMSo9w

Body

Monday I said the scarce thing isn’t GPUs, it’s a way for idle ones to find buyers.

today @shadeformai shipped that: its Flex VMs turns any bare metal GPU server into rentable cloud capacity, listed within hours.

for me the big deal is “no API to build”, just an IP and an SSH key. that integration work was always why spare capacity never reached buyers. @edsgoode
