Google shares a health AI evaluation framework: evaluating models from three aspects—accuracy, safety, and helpfulness
Google, in collaboration with health experts Elizabeth McGlynn and Dana Gelb Safran, released a white paper proposing an end-to-end health AI evaluation framework that assesses models across three dimensions: accuracy, safety, and helpfulness. The framework combines closed-ended question benchmarks, autoraters, and expert human review, covering both common and high-risk health scenarios. Google says it has already used the framework to evaluate its own models and has published the methodology to promote transparency in the health ecosystem.
