   Hengdian releases an initiative on protecting film and television data resources, strictly controlling legal risks in AI creation

   The Hengdian Film and Television Culture Industry Cluster Management Committee and the Dongyang Municipal People's Court jointly released the "Initiative on Strengthening the Protection of Hengdian Film and Television Data Resources," setting behavioral benchmarks in six areas, including data rights confirmation, collection authorization, corporate internal control, and legal risks in AI creation. The initiative explicitly prohibits the scraping of feature films, behind-the-scenes footage, and other materials for AI model training without permission, and calls for the prudent use of actors' portraits, voiceprints, and other biometric information in developing digital doubles. Since 2024, the Dongyang Municipal People's Court has accepted a total of 182 film and television intellectual property cases, recovering losses and ensuring the fulfillment of payments totaling more than 23 million yuan.
