   Apple acquires data automation company Ascend.io

   Apple this year acquired the California-based company Ascend.io, which develops technology that helps businesses automatically collect and analyze data, and which recently also launched an AI agent to help engineers manage that data. The acquisition was disclosed through a notice on the European Commission's website, and Ascend.io's website states that the company is winding down operations and preparing to embark on its next journey.
