AI is both creating and eliminating jobs, but how decent are these jobs?

There is not yet sufficient evidence that AI is replacing jobs on a large scale, but the employment structure is changing: one new category of jobs is AI repair work that "cleans up the mess" for large language models, responsible for checking errors, hallucinations, and judgment biases in model outputs, with varying skill and pay levels. The article also points out that white-collar workers in finance, technology, retail, and other industries need to additionally monitor so-called "workslop," and their workload has actually increased; the case of the Dutch tax authority's algorithm wrongly judging tens of thousands of parents as fraudulent in claiming subsidies shows that automation lacking human oversight amplifies harm.
