Meta's Muse lands on iPad, just one month after its mobile launch

Meta announced on Wednesday that its AI assistant Muse is launching a standalone iPad app, just one month after it went live on iOS and Android on September 8. According to estimates from Sensor Tower, Muse has surpassed 6.6 million installs since launch; users can connect accounts to handle email, meetings, and bills, and complete tasks such as making reservations, ordering groceries, setting goals, and shopping. Alongside the iPad release, Meta updated its connector list, adding Asana, Canva, Dropbox, Figma, QuickBooks, GitHub, Klaviyo, Zoom, Notion, Granola, and a Meta ads account connector, and announced retail partners including Best Buy, Gap, Sephora, Walmart, and Wayfair. Meta's 14GW ambition and Blackstone's abandoned 22 months: AI infrastructure shifts to competing on resources and speed

Meta is expected to invest $145 billion in AI infrastructure this year, with installed capacity reaching 14GW, while Blackstone's Digital Gateway data center project, which persisted for 22 months, ultimately withdrew its appeal and was terminated. The article argues that the bottleneck of AI infrastructure has shifted from chips to power and time; globally, 57% of data center projects are delayed by more than 3 months, and only projects with ready power, customer contracts, and construction conditions can continue to attract capital investment.
