    Cognition launches feature for Devin to directly use ChatGPT subscriptions

    Cognition launched a new feature on September 29, 2026, allowing users to use their ChatGPT subscription directly in Devin. Users only need to log in to Devin with a ChatGPT Plus or Pro plan, and usage of all OpenAI models in Devin will be deducted from that subscription's quota. The feature is now live on Devin Cloud, Devin Desktop, and Devin CLI. According to Cognition, Devin usage counts toward the Codex and ChatGPT Work allowances included in the plan, and users can set a lower cap for Devin in settings; after connecting a ChatGPT account, the OpenAI model portion is paid for by that subscription, while other models still draw from the Devin plan allowance.
