Apple launches Apple Intelligence based on the Qwen model in China

Apple launched its AI feature Apple Intelligence in China starting November 4. Chinese users can test it through the latest iOS developer Beta, and the official version will be released in December with iOS 27.3. The China version is launched by Apple in partnership with Alibaba and is based on Alibaba's Qwen model; Siri can connect to Qwen (Qwen login required). The first batch of features includes real-time translation, writing tools, visual intelligence, the erase tool in the Photos app, Genmoji, natural language search in Photos, creating memory movies, email summaries and smart replies, notification summaries, audio transcription summaries in Notes, call transcript summaries, and typing to talk with Siri.
