Chengdu man caught cheating in driving test with AI glasses and smart ring, fined 1,900 yuan and banned from testing for one year

The Public Security Traffic Management Bureau Sub-bureau of Chengdu, Sichuan, investigated a case of fraud in a motor vehicle driver's examination. A man wore AI glasses and a smart ring purchased online to cheat during the theory test for a motorcycle driver's license and was caught on the spot by officers stationed at the venue. Officers randomly selected questions for him to demonstrate, and found that the device had an extremely low accuracy rate, with all answers to multiple-choice questions wrong, while the man's own accuracy rate in practicing questions on his mobile phone exceeded 85%. The man was fined 1,900 yuan and may not apply for a motor vehicle driver's license again within one year.

据成都日报报道，近期，四川成都公安交管十分局查处了一起机动车驾驶人考试舞弊案，11月5日，记者采访到办案民警还原事件经过。 民警告诉记者，10月16日上午，成都公安交管十分局摩托车考场驻场民警在开展机动车驾驶员理论考试巡查过程中，发现一男子神色紧张，答题状态异常，“我发现他一直有小动作，一会儿戴个眼镜，一会儿戴个戒指，行为举止十分不自然，当即对其开展核查。”面对询问，该男子承认了自己利用高科技设备作弊的违法行为。 经了解，该男子早年申领汽车驾驶证时，理论考试历经四次才勉强通过。“此次申请增驾摩托车驾驶证，因担心再次考试失利，心生焦虑便动起歪念，在网络渠道购买AI眼镜、智能戒指等电子作弊设备，妄图借助所谓的‘高科技’通过考试。”民警说道。 更让人啼笑皆非的是，调查过程中该男子自行用手机刷题自测，正确率超85%。但民警随机抽题，让其使用设备演示，这款高价购买的作弊设备准确率极低，给出的答案均存在明显错误，多选题答案更是全错，“所谓高价‘包过神器’，不过是虚假噱头。” 依据《机动车驾驶证申领和使用规定》第九十三条第二款之规定，公安交管部门依法对该男子作出1900元罚款的处罚，一年内不得再次申领机动车驾驶证。 公安交管部门提醒： 机动车驾驶证考试是检验驾驶人交通安全知识、筑牢安全驾驶意识的重要关口，关乎道路交通公共安全，驾考作弊属于违法行为。请广大考生务必端正考试态度，踏实备考，诚信应考，切勿轻信网络所谓“高科技包过神器”，摒弃侥幸心理，切勿以身试法！
