Goldman Sachs Tightens Access to AI Coding Tools Such as Claude Code, Some Traders Unhappy

In internal guidance updated in October, Goldman Sachs tightened access to Claude Code and Microsoft GitHub-related tools, mainly restricting them to use by engineers, which has drawn complaints from some traders. Previously, some traders relied on these tools to monitor client trading flows and simulate market and position changes; "strats" employees whose work spans trading, quantitative research and software engineering are not subject to this restriction. Goldman Sachs' own AI assistant, GS AI Assistant, integrates models from OpenAI, Anthropic and Alphabet.

凤凰网科技讯 11月3日，据彭博社报道，高盛收紧Claude Code等AI编程工具的使用权限，引发部分交易员不满。该行此前已在全公司推广自有AI助手，供员工处理文档、起草内容及分析数据。
彭博社看到的10月更新内部指引显示，高盛此前允许银行家使用的Claude Code及微软GitHub相关工具，如今主要限工程师使用。从事交易、量化研究与软件工程交叉工作的“strats”员工不受此次限制。
知情人士称，部分交易员此前依靠这些工具监控客户交易流、模拟市场与头寸变化，以及制作文字和图形内容。今年7月，高盛首席信息官Marco Argenti还曾介绍，非技术员工可借助AI开发解决方案，再交由工程师完善。
高盛发言人Nick Carcaterra回应称，公司会通过试验评估各类AI工具在不同部门的用途，综合考量生产力与风险管理等因素，再确定适合长期使用这些工具的人员。
据路透社此前报道，高盛于2025年6月在全公司推出GS AI Assistant，当时已有约1万名员工使用。彭博社此次报道提到，高盛自有AI助手整合了OpenAI、Anthropic及谷歌母公司Alphabet的模型。(作者/宋淑美)
