Jimeng Launches Short Drama Studio, Integrating the Full Script, Storyboard, and Video Production Workflow

On October 26, Jimeng AI launched a brand-new feature, "Short Drama Studio." As a one-stop AI tool launched by Jimeng for short drama creation scenarios, "Short Drama Studio" integrates the entire workflow—script organization, character and scene management, storyboard generation, video production, and post-production adjustments—into a single platform, so creators no longer need to switch back and forth between multiple platforms.

It is reported that some functions of "Short Drama Studio" integrate the same capabilities as Xiaoyunque's short drama Agent. "Short Drama Studio" is equipped with Jimeng's first professional script model, DreamScript, which is trained and optimized for short drama creation scenarios and covers the entire chain from script generation to diagnosis. After uploading an existing script, the script doctor function can automatically diagnose the main storyline of the first three episodes and check whether the protagonist's identity and core conflict are clear; the dialogue check function can diagnose adaptations line by line against character biographies. The product supports uploads of long texts of up to 100,000 characters and continuous generation of 100 episodes.

After a script is uploaded, "Short Drama Studio" can automatically parse the assets of the entire drama. Main and secondary characters, scenes, props, and even voice timbre and costumes throughout the drama can be accurately identified and automatically bound to the asset library. The canvas and the storyboard share the same set of assets, enabling one-click access, and historical versions can be traced back. A single modification is synchronized globally, and when producing subsequent series content, confirmed characters, scenes, and story settings can be directly reused.

In response to scenarios where the amount of material continues to grow during the creation process, the product has made deep performance optimizations to canvas interaction. Even with thousands of assets stacked, movement remains responsive, zooming is smooth, box selection is crisp, and undo and redo have no lag. Measured data shows that in image scenarios, operational smoothness reaches more than ten times that of similar products, and the smoothness advantage is even more pronounced in video scenarios. Even when the node scale expands to 10,000, smooth response is still maintained.
