Hong Kong's HKGAI AI assistant "HKChat" launches AI music feature, can generate Cantonese songs for free

The local AI assistant "HKChat" developed by the Hong Kong Generative AI Research and Development Center (HKGAI) was updated on October 30, launching an AI music generation feature that connects to HKGAI's self-developed YuE2 music large model. Users can hum a tune or upload an image and enter a concept to generate original songs with professional arrangements and vocal performances. The feature specializes in Cantonese pop songs and is currently free for all users.

IT之家 10 月 31 日消息，由香港生成式人工智能研发中心（HKGAI）研发的本地 AI 智能助理“港话通”（HKChat）于 10 月 30 日迎来更新，推出全新 AI 音乐生成功能。
新功能接入由 HKGAI 研发的 YuE2 音乐大模型（「YuE2」），用户随口哼唱或上传图片，再输入对歌曲的构思，AI 便可即时谱写出兼具专业编曲和人声献唱的原创歌曲。
全新音乐功能已在“港话通”App 上线，用户只需在首页点击底部的“音乐”按钮，即可进入创作界面。
HKGAI 官方表示，“港话通”作为香港市民的 AI 生活助手，其全新音乐功能以粤语流行曲为特色，致力将 AI 技术与香港独特的流行文化相结合。系统生成的歌曲不仅旋律动人，更能精准还原广东歌的独特韵味。
