Anthropic launches Claude Duet agent app, focused on proactively handling professional work

Anthropic has launched Claude Duet, an agent app powered by Claude Opus 5.5 that can continuously handle tasks in the background, running even when users leave their phone or computer. Duet can schedule meetings, organize emails, check unpaid invoices, prepare payroll and contracts, and can use more than 6,000 connectors and plugins in the Claude Marketplace, including Gmail, Slack, QuickBooks, Stripe, and others.
