11月1日，据外媒援引知情人士的消息称，Meta已与中国机器人公司傅利叶合作开发出人形机器人原型“Max”，双方正在开发第二代。
对此，傅利叶方面11月2日对澎湃新闻记者表示，后续如有最新消息会通过官方渠道告知。
据报道，今年8月下旬，Meta在一场内部机器人峰会上向部分员工展示了Max。9月，双方开始研发第二代原型机Max 2，计划重新设计躯干和双手，提升抓取和操作物体的能力，并增加传感器，辅助机器人上下楼梯。Meta发言人表示，与傅利叶的合作聚焦于内部研究和实验，目前没有出售这些原型机的计划。
Meta近期也在中国招聘机器人硬件研发和供应链人才。公开招聘信息显示，Meta于9月在上海招聘机器人供应商开发工程师，10月又在深圳招聘机器人工作室的产品设计工程师。深圳岗位的职责涉及机器人硬件从早期设计、验证和系统集成到量产的各个环节。
今年5月，Meta确认收购机器人AI初创公司Assured Robot Intelligence（ARI）。该公司开发面向人形机器人的基础模型，希望让机器人能够在复杂环境中理解、预测并适应人的行为。收购后，其团队加入Meta超级智能实验室。

今年1月，傅利叶与格式塔科技达成战略合作，计划结合脑机接口技术与傅利叶的下肢外骨骼、上肢康复设备及GR-3人形机器人，开发非侵入式脑控康复方案。傅利叶创始人兼CEO顾捷彼时表示，公司希望通过脑机接口识别患者的运动意图，让康复机器人在患者想动却难以自主完成动作时提供助力。
