Naver Cloud will work with the Republic of Korea Army Logistics Command to build an artificial intelligence (AI)-based military logistics system.

According to Naver Cloud, the company signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on Oct. 30 at the Army Logistics Command headquarters in Daejeon to optimize future battlefield environments and strengthen practical AI capabilities in military logistics.

The Army Logistics Command oversees the Army’s logistics operations, including supply, maintenance and transportation. Under the agreement, the two organizations plan to apply AI technologies to procurement, maintenance and logistics, jointly developing and demonstrating services that can be deployed in actual military logistics operations.

Key areas of cooperation include an AI-based military procurement platform, condition-based maintenance (CBM+) that analyzes weapon system condition data to predict failures, digital twin-based smart logistics and smart factories.

To support these initiatives, Naver Cloud will provide consulting on the use of graphics processing unit (GPU) infrastructure and assist in building cloud infrastructure tailored to military logistics. The company also plans to develop military logistics AI agents that automate repetitive tasks through forward-deployed engineers (FDEs) working directly on-site.

The two organizations will also collaborate on identifying new AI projects using military logistics data, training AI specialists in military logistics, and operating and upgrading the platform.

Naver Cloud has recently been expanding its AI business in the defense sector. In 2026, the company pursued joint development of defense-specific AI models with Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) and collaborated with Korea University’s C5ISRT Convergence Research Center to participate in an AI transformation (AX) hub project for the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

In September, Naver Cloud held a Defense AI Strategy Seminar attended by approximately 550 officials from the Ministry of National Defense, the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the armed services. At the event, the company proposed a defense AX cooperation model that would allow the military to use private-sector technologies while retaining control over its data and AI models.
