HumanLayer open-sources its core code to unify management of Claude Code and Codex sessions

With a bunch of Claude Code and Codex windows open at the same time, do you switch over to each one, or is there a place where you can see everything at a glance? HumanLayer just open-sourced its entire core I initially thought they'd just toss out a CLI as a token gesture After reading through Dex's long post, I realized what they released is the same code they run in the cloud The desktop app, the daemon that runs Claude Code and Codex sessions on your own machine, and the cloud API are all in there Tasks, sessions, plans, comments, diffs, and PRs are strung together in one interface, and it can also connect to GitHub, Linear, and Slack Apache 2.0, self-hosted with no telemetry whatsoever The official team provides a docker compose setup and even suggests you just spin up a coding agent and let it set things up for you First, a small caveat Right now, startup still requires filling in third-party keys like WorkOS, Slack, and Linear; the process won't start without them.
