Claude Code Adjusts Game Development Restrictions: Can Reference Existing Gameplay, Direct Replication Prohibited

Anthropic engineer Addy Osmani said that Claude Code version 2.1.317 adjusted the game development restrictions for Claude Opus 5.5; users can now mention existing games and reference their gameplay mechanics to develop original games of the same genre, and are no longer directly refused. If a user explicitly requests copying the original work, Claude will still refuse direct replication and instead suggest developing a game with a similar experience.

IT之家 11 月 4 日消息，Anthropic 工程师阿迪 · 奥斯曼尼（Addy Osmani）在 X 发文，称已在 Claude Code 2.1.317 版本中调整 Claude Opus 5.5 的游戏开发限制，允许用户引用现有游戏描述玩法和机制，不再因此直接拒绝生成游戏。
据IT之家此前报道，上周，Anthropic 为防止用户利用 Claude Code 复制已有游戏，在 Opus 5.5 的系统提示词中增加了两条规则，要求模型避免复刻他人的游戏作品。
这项限制引发开发者不满，因为即使用户只是提到某款游戏作为玩法参考，Claude Code 也有可能拒绝执行开发任务。
按照最新说明，用户现在可以直接提及某款现有游戏，让 Claude 参考其玩法机制，开发同类型的原创游戏。但如果用户明确要求复制原作，Claude 仍会拒绝直接复刻，转而建议开发一款具有类似体验的游戏。
