Anthropic Donates Agent Skills Open Standard to AAIF

On October 22, Anthropic announced that it is donating the Agent Skills open standard to the Agentic AI Foundation (AAIF) under the Linux Foundation, turning it from a single-company project into community co-governance. AAIF was established on December 9, 2025, co-founded by Anthropic, Block, and OpenAI; Anthropic had previously donated MCP to the organization. Since its release as an open standard in December 2025, more than 70 agent platforms—including ChatGPT, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and VS Code—have integrated Agent Skills, with roughly 1 million public Skills and approximately 280 million cumulative installs; the donation also covers the name, logo, GitHub organization, and the agentskills.io domain.

IT之家 10 月 23 日消息，Anthropic 昨日（10 月 22 日）发布公告，宣布向 Linux 基金会旗下的 Agentic AI Foundation（AAIF）组织捐赠 Agent Skills 开放标准，让其从单一公司项目转为社区共治的 AI 智能体能力标准。
AAIF 于 2025 年 12 月 9 日成立，由 Linux 基金会运营，由 Anthropic、Block 和 OpenAI 共同创立，负责托管和治理 AI 智能体生态中的开放协议、标准与开源项目。Anthropic 此前已将 Model Context Protocol（MCP）捐赠至该组织。
IT之家注：Agent Skills 可理解为面向 AI 智能体的“说明书”：一个包含 SKILL.md 说明文件的文件夹，能够向智能体传授特定任务或领域知识，并可附带脚本、模板和参考资料。AI 智能体可按需加载这些技能，从而在不同产品间复用工作流程与专业知识。
