The Arc browser will shut down on December 22, as The Browser Company pivots to the AI browser Dia

The Browser Company announced that the Chromium-based browser Arc will shut down on December 22, at which point users will no longer be able to launch the app, accounts will be deactivated, and personal data will be deleted within 30 days. Arc released version 1.0 in 2023, stopped development in 2024, and in May 2025 the company announced its pivot to the AI-driven browser Dia. Starting October 22, Arc can no longer create new accounts, and starting November 23, some features will be disabled; users can migrate to Dia via data export, with the original browser features available for free in Dia and AI features optional.
