Meta Plans to Raise Up to $95 Billion Through Two Stock Offerings to Expand AI Business

Meta has launched a stock offering plan of approximately $35 billion and plans to initiate another stock offering of up to $60 billion as early as the first quarter of 2027. If both are fully completed, they could raise a total of $95 billion, all of which will be invested in expanding its AI business. The funds will be used to increase investment in data centers, computing infrastructure, and AI product research and development to compete with OpenAI and Anthropic. Nvidia, AMD, and Broadcom have expressed interest and may subscribe to up to a total of $5 billion in Meta stock, but none have made a formal subscription commitment.
