MOFCOM: Will Work with Countries Around the World to Build International Economic and Trade Rules for Artificial Intelligence

Jiang Chenghua, Vice Minister of Commerce, said on October 22 at a press conference held by the State Council Information Office that during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, China will actively lead the formulation of international rules in emerging fields such as digital and green development, promote the building of an open AI ecosystem, and work with countries around the world to jointly build international economic and trade rules for artificial intelligence. He also noted that the digital divide, development deficit, and over-securitization have become worldwide challenges.
