Microsoft has released the MAI-Image-2.7-Preview image editing model, which focuses on taking an original image plus a text instruction as input and outputting an edited image; text-to-image generation is not yet available. On Artificial Analysis's AA-Image-Editing v2.1 leaderboard, the model ranks 2nd with 1,193 Elo, second only to OpenAI's GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst (max), and leads the next-best model by 24 Elo in scene and style editing. Users can try it on Arena, Artificial Analysis, and the MAI Playground; Microsoft has not yet announced a public API, pricing, or an official commercial launch date, and the model weights have not been released.

IT之家 10 月 28 日消息，微软昨日（10 月 27 日）发布公告，宣布推出 MAI-Image-2.7-Preview 模型。微软人工智能首席执行官穆斯塔法 · 苏莱曼（Mustafa Suleyman）自豪地宣布：“MAI-Image 现在是全球排名第二的图像编辑模型！”
苏莱曼在推文中写道，基于 Artificial Analysis 的图像编辑榜，微软的 MAI-Image 系列模型再次击败 Google、Meta、xAI 和 GPT-Image-2.5-Flare，成为全球排名第二的图像编辑模型，仅次于 OpenAI 的 GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst (max)。IT之家附上相关截图如下：
需要注意的是，MAI-Image-2.7-Preview 模型现阶段主打“输入原图 + 文字指令 → 输出编辑后的图片”，尚未开放文生图功能，是面向已有照片、设计稿、截图或影视素材的可控编辑模型。
微软强调它能处理“较难改对”的任务：整体换风格、重新打光、修改画面中的文字 / 符号、修复增强素材，以及需要理解物体、光线与环境关系的复杂编辑。
微软称，MAI-Image-2.7 相较上一代 MAI-Image-2.6，在 Artificial Analysis 评测的全部 10 个用例和 7 类编辑动作中均有提升，并在增强修复、推理编辑、场景风格、文字符号四类达到品类前沿。
其中场景与风格编辑领先幅度最大，比次优模型高 24 个 Elo；在 Artificial Analysis 的 AA-Image-Editing v2.1 榜单上，它以 1,193 Elo 排第 2，仅次于 OpenAI 的 GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst (max)。
用户目前可在 Arena、Artificial Analysis 和 MAI Playground 体验，且当前仅开放图像编辑，微软表示文生图“即将推出”，但未公布日期。
