OpenClaw author Peter Steinberger says he spent about $10 million on Tokens last month

Peter Steinberger, author of OpenClaw and a member of OpenAI's technical staff, revealed at the Cloudflare Connect 2026 conference that running AI workloads last month consumed Tokens worth about $10 million, with the money covered by investors; he said he has an almost unlimited Token budget. He also believes that in the future everyone will have agents that can run continuously, provide help around the clock, and even anticipate needs.
