教科書は、ノートブック内の「Add sources（ソースを追加）」から「Textbooks（教科書）」を選び、カタログを開いて追加する。追加した教科書について質問すると、その内容に基づく回答が得られ、回答内の引用とリンクから元の資料を確認できる。教科書の内容を使った学習ガイド、練習用クイズ、フラッシュカードの作成にも対応する。

今回の対応は、書籍などの資料をGoogleのAI製品で活用する「Expert Intelligence」の拡張となる。すでにGoogle Play Booksで購入した対象の電子書籍をノートブックへ追加する機能があり、今回、無料で利用できる教科書が加わったかたちとなる。
