Tesla CEO Musk said at the earnings call that the entire humanoid robot sector will become the world's largest industry, and in the future the number of humanoid robots on Earth may even exceed the number of humans. Optimus has begun production on the high-volume production line at the Fremont factory, which is planned to have an annual capacity of 1 million units, while the second production line in Texas has a long-term design annual capacity of 10 million units. Musk said Optimus is expected to be supplied externally only after remaining design, reliability, and service life issues are resolved by the end of 2027.

快科技10月22日消息，据财联社报道，美东时间周三，特斯拉CEO马斯克在财报电话会上表示，坚信人形机器人整个赛道都将成为全球最大的产业，未来地球上人形机器人的数量甚至会超过人类。
马斯克表示：“到那个时间点，我们才可以对外向特斯拉以外的企业交付Optimus。”
特斯拉最新财报显示，Optimus（擎天柱）机器人正处于从研发走向量产的关键阶段。
特斯拉在财报中介绍称：“Optimus在弗里蒙特工厂的高产量产线上开始了生产。从这条产线下线的机器人是制造的首批具备量产质量的机器人。虽然我们将继续在硬件和制造工艺上进行迭代，但我们已经证明Optimus目前的制造工艺适合用于商业产品。”
据了解，加州弗里蒙特工厂人形机器人专用生产线规划年产能达100万台，同时特斯拉正在得州超级工厂准备机器人的第二条产线，其长期设计年产能为1000万台。
但马斯克表示，这条产线还需要大约一年甚至更久，才能达到每周2万台机器人的目标产能。
他还介绍，特斯拉计划将AI5芯片集成到Optimus上，如果一切顺利，相关工作预计在明年4月完成。这款芯片的算力远超AI4，特斯拉针对Optimus的使用场景缩减了AI5的内存配置。
马斯克预计，特斯拉大约能在2027年底解决这款机器人剩余的设计、可靠性与使用寿命问题，届时才会对外供应Optimus。
他称，机器人早期的应用场景集中在工业领域，主要用于需要全天候执行的高危、重复性作业。
而在此之前，特斯拉准备发布一段视频，展示擎天柱完成非预先编程设定的任务，相关视频大概还要一两个月才能推出。
