At the XHEART New Core Voyage launch event, Momenta CEO Cao Xudong publicly revealed the company's third insight, "large models define chips," for the first time, stating that chips defined by large models deliver 10 times the performance of general-purpose chips. Scaled L4 requires models with 10 billion to 100 billion parameters, and general-purpose chips struggle to simultaneously meet power consumption, automotive-grade reliability, and cost constraints. On the same day, XHEART released the X7 Ultra chip designed specifically for large models, adopting a super-large-core NPU architecture and debuting mass production of an Armv9 automotive-grade CPU in China.

IT之家 10 月 29 日现场消息，在今天的 XHEART 新芯航途发布会上，Momenta CEO 曹旭东首次公开分享公司的第三个洞察 —— 大模型定义芯片。
IT之家了解到，围绕规模化 L4 目标，Momenta 此前形成两个洞察：通过数据驱动解决长尾问题、通过规模量产获得海量数据。2022 年底，Momenta 进一步提出“大模型定义芯片”，并与 XHEART 付诸行动。
曹旭东表示，大模型定义的芯片相比通用芯片，性能提升 10 倍；而规模化 L4 需要百亿至千亿参数模型，通用芯片难以同时满足功耗、车规可靠性与成本的三重约束，他将其称为“通用芯片的不可能三角”。
他认为，唯有从大模型需求出发定义芯片，才有可能在上述约束下支撑千亿参数模型，实现规模化 L4，并进一步推动机器人及更多物理 AI 应用取得突破。
据IT之家今日早些时候报道，XHEART 新芯航途 CEO 李宗霖正式发布全新 X7 Ultra 大模型芯片。这枚芯片专为大模型设计，拥有超大核 NPU 架构，核内数据交互对比核间数据交互，互联速率 TB/s 数量级提升；中国首发量产 Armv9 车规级 CPU，性能提升 20%、能效提升 10%。
