皮查伊透露，谷歌研究人员开始使用 AI 智能体辅助开发模型，但技术仍处于起步阶段。“我们距离递归自我改进（RSI）的最终形态还很远。准确地说，在模型研发的各个环节，AI 研究人员已经开始与自我改进循环协同工作。可以说，AI 智能体正以一定程度的自动化方式协助研究人员，共同开发模型。”
皮查伊预计，明年还将看到进一步进展。
谷歌联合创始人谢尔盖 · 布林本月早些时候曾谈到，公司的 Flash 系列模型和 Gemini 4 已展现出 AI 参与自身研发的能力。目前，研究人员正与 AI 模型携手开发下一代模型。
IT之家从报道中获悉，今年 4 月，谷歌曾披露内部新增代码已有 75% 由 AI 生成。但在皮查伊看来，单纯统计 AI 生成代码的比例已无法准确反映实际情况。“对我们来说，这个数字已经没什么意义，因为现在经我们处理的每一段代码，都受到 AI 的深刻影响。”
皮查伊还提到，Gemini 4 Argon 将帮助人们处理更复杂的编程难题。谷歌因程序错误或系统故障而将软件恢复至旧版本的次数，也减少了三分之一。“因此我认为，AI 工具不仅提高了编程效率，也改善了代码质量。”
