iPadOS 27.2 adds a Siri pop-up feature ported from the Mac: when a trackpad is connected, selecting text causes a small Siri icon to appear in the upper-left corner, and hovering over it expands an "Ask Siri" input field; when no trackpad is connected, selecting text still shows the full edit menu, where you can tap to open Siri. This feature was previously available in macOS 27 Golden Gate, but iPadOS 27 originally did not have it. According to 9to5Mac, iPadOS 27.2 will be released next week. There are currently no further developments.
