HD Hyundai Electric wins another SK hynix power equipment order, supplying the Cheongju P&T7 and Yongin Y1 sites
HD Hyundai Electric began this month installing ultra-high-voltage switchgear and transformers at SK hynix's new production facility in Cheongju, supplying P&T7 and the Mask Fab, and has also won orders for high-voltage switchgear and cast-resin transformers for the support facilities of the Y1 plant in the Yongin semiconductor cluster. The Cheongju P&T7 project will continue until July 2027, and the Yongin project is expected to run until December 2027. In August, SK hynix decided to invest 35.2 trillion won in Yongin Y2 and 19.1 trillion won in Cheongju M17, and further power equipment orders are expected to increase.
