Signet Therapeutics and XtalPi: AI + Organoid Gastric Cancer Targeted Drug SIGX1094 Moves Toward Key Clinical Validation

The first-in-class targeted drug for diffuse gastric cancer worldwide, SIGX1094, jointly developed by Signet Therapeutics and XtalPi, has essentially completed Phase I clinical trials and has received both FDA Orphan Drug and Fast Track designations, with the potential to reach the market after completing Phase II clinical trials. This molecule was the candidate found when the AI + organoid approach had synthesized the 94th molecule; the second pipeline asset, the pan-TEAD inhibitor SIGX2649, has received dual IND approvals from China and the U.S. and is expected to begin clinical trials in November.

Yingsu Launches China's First Embodied Simulation Data Collection Center in Hangzhou, Targeting One Million Hours of Data per Month

On October 29, Yingsu launched China's first simulation-focused embodied intelligence data collection center in Hangzhou, targeting data output at the level of one million hours per month. The center centers on 3D scene reconstruction and generation, using real-world collection to anchor geometry and appearance, and then uses the world simulator Topos Pro to expand layouts, occlusions, and object combinations, with capacity scaling with the number of environment configurations and parallel computing power. Yingsu has also partnered with Meihui Interactive, incubated within the Daily Interactive ecosystem, to obtain scene resources, and in August this year it jointly launched the large-scale spatial intelligence 3D data open initiative SIDO with more than 20 organizations including Hesai and Unitree.

AMD Acquires World Labs for $8.2 Billion; Fei-Fei Li to Serve as AMD Executive Vice President and Chief Scientist

AMD announced an all-stock acquisition of World Labs, founded by Fei-Fei Li, for approximately $8.2 billion. After the deal closes, Fei-Fei Li will serve as AMD Executive Vice President and Chief Scientist, reporting directly to Lisa Su, and World Labs' roughly 70-person team will be integrated as a relatively independent research unit. The article reviews Fei-Fei Li's three directional choices—from ImageNet, to AI democratization, to spatial intelligence—and notes that this acquisition is about 52% higher than World Labs' $5.4 billion valuation after its February 2026 Series C funding round. The author believes that what comes next is whether the performance gains of Atlas and Marble on MI450 can continue the curve of the 4x speedup on MI325X, and whether other spatial intelligence teams will consequently shift to AMD hardware.

Leiphone.com Reviews the Current State of Domestic RSI: How Far Have Zhipu, DeepSeek, ModelBest and Other Vendors Each Gotten?

Leiphone.com reviewed the latest progress of Zhipu, DeepSeek, ModelBest, Moonshot AI, Alibaba Qwen, ByteDance Seed and Xiaomi on RSI (AI building AI), noting that currently no vendor has truly used AI to rewrite underlying model weights; the changes are concentrated in inference systems, Harness, sandbox environments, training frameworks and post-training reinforcement learning. Zhipu's Infra Agent, driven by GLM-5.3, built a production-grade inference service for GLM-5.3-Flash in two weeks on a cluster of 100,000 domestic chips, with end-to-end throughput reaching 3.2 times the initial baseline; DeepSeek, together with Tsinghua, launched DSec, which can produce about 3 million sandboxes per day; ModelBest's ForgeTrain caught up to the Megatron-LM benchmark level in 8 hours. The article argues that these engineering closed loops that do not touch weights are stepping stones toward AGI.

Mollick: The Gap Between AI Frontier Practice and the Real Capabilities of Systems Is Widening

Ethan Mollick responded to Aaron Levie's view that the gap between frontier AI users and everyone else is widening, adding: the gap between what frontier practitioners do with AI and what today's AI can actually do is growing larger; when properly harnessed and applied, we do not truly understand the full capabilities of today's systems.

It’s almost incomprehensible how wide the distance is between someone who’s working at the frontier with AI and basically everyone else right now. The crazy thing is these lines are not converging, but only growing farther apart. If the curve of AI progress had leveled off, it would certainly have given most people and companies time to catch up or implement their workflows in a standardized way. The technology would have neutralized competitive advantage because everyone would be using it the same way. But what’s happened is the opposite. The curve of AI progress is basically going vertical right now, which means if you had codified your processes 3-6 months ago you’re likely already behind again. Now imagine most companies that kicked into gear a year ago and thought that they were done. Even further behind now. I’ve never seen a technology in my life and career that improves at this rate, which consequently means you need to upgrade your expectations at a similar rate. Our brains weren’t wired for this, and our organizational change management processes certainly weren’t either. With any form of recursive self improvement, things just get wilder. It’s a time when you will need to be constantly reevaluating the things that didn’t work just a couple months ago to see if they now can be solved. AI native companies certainly have a strong advantage due to this right now, so now it comes down to can the bigger companies keep up. Wild times.

Peter Steinberger on Claude Code's new rule: you should build your own harness

A post claims that around October 27, Claude Code pushed down a new rule named "tengu_heron_brook" via Anthropic's servers, and it cannot be turned off: you can build original games, but you must not recreate a specific existing game. Commenting on this, Peter Steinberger said this is yet another reason to use your own harness rather than one whose permission scope a company can change at will.

ANTHROPIC IS CRACKING DOWN ON VIDEO GAME REWRITES 🚨 Claude Code picked up a new rule around Oct 27, sent from Anthropic’s servers under a flag called "tengu_heron_brook". There’s no setting to turn it off. The full rule: “Do build original games, games in a genre, and games from the user’s own designs and assets. Don’t build a recreation of a specific existing game, even if it is renamed or called original.” Is this the end of game rewrites, modding and everything in between?

Altman Responds to Math Community Doubts: OpenAI's Math Results Releases Will Not Stop

Sam Altman said on the Cheeky Pint podcast that the public's right to understand how the universe works outweighs the impact of OpenAI's result releases on the math community, and that the company needs to improve its communication but will not stop releasing. He admitted that OpenAI's investment in math problems once got out of control, and said the company has hundreds of math discoveries beyond its published results that remain undisclosed; he also estimated that OpenAI has spent hundreds of millions of dollars on math problems, of which the Navier-Stokes solution cost about $10 million. The math community, meanwhile, criticized OpenAI's releases for lacking attribution, context, and verification, and also expressed dissatisfaction that details of results such as the Yang-Mills theory have not been disclosed.

Anthropic Files a 335-Page S-1, With 94 Pages of Risk Factors Filled With "Miracles" and "Existential Risk"

Anthropic filed a 335-page S-1 prospectus on Monday, including as many as 94 pages of risk factors; the founders' letter states that advanced AI could usher in an "age of miracles" but could also pose an existential risk to humanity. The prospectus also states that the company has a history of net losses, has taken on hundreds of billions of dollars in financial obligations to secure computing power, and will build its own data centers; the author notes that key information for assessing profitability, such as third-quarter results, is missing. Jay R. Ritter, a professor at the University of Florida, noted by comparison that Apple's 1980 IPO prospectus was only 47 pages and contained no risk factors.
