GitHubは、米サンフランシスコで10月28日と29日の2日間開催した年次イベント「GitHub Universe 2026」で、新機能「GitHub Copilot Fusion」の正式リリースを発表しました。
Copilot Fusionは、与えられたタスクの特性に応じて、単一または複数のAIモデルを組み合わせて実行するマルチモデル対応の機能です。
Copilot Fusionは、与えられたタスクに応じて以下の3つのパターンのいずれかを選択します。
効率的なモデルとして選択されたAIモデルが解決策の案を作成し、品質確認用のAIモデルがそれを検証して、より高い能力のAIモデルにエスカレーションするかどうかを判断する
Critique（批評）
まず1つのAIモデルが解決案のドラフトを作り、別のモデルファミリーのAIモデルが独立してレビューする。レビューが指摘を返すと、その指摘をもとに、ドラフトを作ったAIモデルが解決案を1回だけ修正する。
上記のパターンを選択するうえで、品質、コストをどのようにバランスさせるかを調整するための負荷レベルが用意されています。
Fusion Standard
コスト、品質、待機時間のバランスを取る。日常業務向け。
Fusion Hight
中程度のトークン節約によるバランスの取れたオーケストレーション。複雑なバグの修正や複数のファイルにまたがる変更など、スコープが明確な大規模なコーディングタスク向け。
Fusion Max
トークンの効率を考慮しながら、最先端の性能を実現。可能な限り深い推論と最も徹底的な分析を必要とするタスク向け。
Fusion Fast
高速なモデルが必要なシナリオで選択される。ユーザーは指定できない。
また、パブリックプレビューとして、Fusion StandardにおいてローカルにインストールしたMAI Code 1.1 FlashモデルまたはQwen3.8 Flash Nextモデルを選択してタスクを実行することも可能となっています。
