苹果官网线索暗示:全尺寸 HomePod 或将支持 Siri AI
Apple website suggested Siri AI may be coming to full size HomePods

HomePod; Siri AI
The headline feature of the new HomePod mini 2 is support for Siri AI, something that won’t be available for the first-gen model. But there’s hope that existing full size HomePods may also get access to the smarter intelligent assistant.
A leaker noticed two clues on Apple’s website seemingly pointing to this, but it’s possible that it was an error on the part of the company …
HomePod mini 2 with Siri AI
The HomePod mini 2 has the same design as its predecessor, other than refreshed colors. Internally, the S5 chip is replaced with an S10 one, and that provides access to Siri AI.
Not all of the processing is done on the device itself. Apple notes that full Siri AI support is dependent on pairing with an Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad.
When paired with an Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad, HomePod mini can tap into a user’s personal context to help them find what they need in the moment.
Full-size HomePods may also get Siri AI
Leaker pdfu spotted a couple of indications on Apple’s website that support is also coming to existing full size HomePods – though likely only to 2nd-gen models.
First, there were the images used, where the color glow appeared to match that of the HomePod mini 2.
Big updates to the HomePod 2 product page this morning. May suggest support for Siri AI is coming.

Second, alt text for one of the images described it as showing the “multi-colored Siri Al glow on top.”
9to5Mac’s Take
From a commercial perspective, Apple does like to hold back some software features from older devices in order to encourage upgrades. At the same time, the company is making a big push on Siri AI, likely to boost Services revenue once usage limits kick in on lower iCloud tiers.
It’s notable that Apple has replaced the images concerned, but this doesn’t provide much clue as to whether it was an error or simply an announcement the company isn’t yet ready to make. Even on the new HomePod mini 2 speakers, the Siri AI update will follow at a later date. It’s possible that support for their bigger brother could be announced at the same time.
The optimistic view would be that Apple isn’t requiring Apple TV owners to upgrade in order to get access to Siri AI, which might provide a clue to the company’s thinking. The update is coming to second-generation devices and up, and that may well point to the same story with the full-size HomePod 2.
