法官要求 OpenAI 14 天内向苹果交出前苹果硬件员工的面试记录
Judge Edward Davila ordered OpenAI to hand Apple its interview files on ex-Apple hardware recruits within 14 days.

Bloomberg: Apple wants a federal judge to bar OpenAI from using hardware secrets it says former employees carried over. US District Judge Edward Davila in San Jose hears that injunction request alongside OpenAI’s motion to dismiss the lawsuit. This is the lawsuit’s first major hearing since Apple sued in July. Apple says Liu, who joined OpenAI in January, exploited an authentication bug to reach Apple’s network storage and download confidential files. Apple’s later filings say he simulated a downloaded power converter schematic in LTspice and told a colleague his AI agent could adjust the circuit itself. Apple also claims OpenAI told job candidates to bring prototypes and other “design artifacts” for “show and tell” interview sessions. An injunction would land as OpenAI readies a smart speaker priced above $300 and an IPO at a targeted $1.4T valuation. Apple’s hardest task is tracing a specific file from Liu’s downloads into OpenAI’s actual product work.

Judge Edward Davila ordered OpenAI to hand Apple its interview files on ex-Apple hardware recruits within 14 days.
The October 13 order partly grants Apple’s bid for early evidence in the trade secrets suit Apple filed on July 10.
OpenAI must produce interview material it has already collected within 5 days and the remaining records within 14 days, including checklists, guides, scripts and technical presentations.
Those records could show whether interviews touched on Apple technology or components, which sits at the center of Apple’s allegation that OpenAI asked Apple candidates to share secret project details and bring prototypes and components to interviews.
Davila also ordered forensic device images because he saw a real risk that evidence could be destroyed, citing a conversation between Chang Liu and Alyssa Peng about wiping their Apple-owned devices.
The judge refused to rush OpenAI’s research on metal finishes, power management and battery functionality, leaving it to the ordinary discovery schedule. None of this decides whether secrets were taken, and OpenAI has denied wrongdoing.
Still, interview files showing Apple parts on the table would tie any misappropriation to OpenAI’s hiring process itself, strengthening Apple’s preliminary injunction motion.
