SSenStone 加入韩国物理 AI 多层安全技术项目
SSenStone Joins Physical AI Security Project < IT·Gaming < 기사본문 - The Elec Inc.

SSenStone announced on Oct. 16 that it will participate as a joint research institution in a government project to develop physical artificial intelligence (AI)-based multilayer security technology for collaborative intelligent systems, led by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA).
SSenStone will form a consortium with Jeonbuk National University, Sogang University and other institutions to develop security technologies for unmanned factories, known as dark factories. RaonSecure will lead the project.
In physical AI environments, AI decisions are translated into control commands that trigger equipment operations. Unauthorized access or command tampering during this process can result in equipment damage, production disruptions or injuries. SSenStone will develop security technology for the operational technology (OT) segment, where AI commands are translated into physical equipment operations.
SSenStone will focus on three areas: protecting equipment endpoints, analyzing and controlling commands, and AI-based anomaly detection and response.
The company’s core proprietary technology is One-Time Authentication Code (OTAC). The technology identifies and authenticates users, devices and commands using authentication codes generated by the client issuing the command. The codes are generated without real-time communication with a server and transmitted in one direction. Each code changes with every use, preventing reuse. SSenStone plans to extend OTAC to protect equipment communications and enable command-level control.
“A pre-execution control system is necessary to prevent unauthorized commands from operating equipment,” SSenStone said. The approach authenticates access to equipment and verifies whether control commands are permitted before execution. The company added that the technology meets the IEC 62443 international industrial control security standard without requiring equipment replacement.
“We must be able to verify the origin and integrity of commands transmitted to physical equipment and trust that only authorized commands are executed,” SSenStone CEO Yoo Chang-hoon said. “Through this project, we will complete a world-class OT security standard model that can be immediately applied to existing industrial equipment.”
SSenStone, an OT security specialist, supplies OTAC-based authentication solutions to financial institutions, public agencies, defense organizations and industrial facilities. It is also targeting the UK market alongside its global headquarters, swIDch. According to NICE Information Service, SSenStone recorded revenue of 881.28 million won and an operating loss of 3.03 billion won in 2025.
