Intel said on Oct. 15 local time that it will showcase physical artificial intelligence (AI) technologies designed for real-world industrial applications at Web Summit 2026.
The demonstrations will feature various types of robots deployed across industries including manufacturing, smart cities, retail and healthcare. Intel will also introduce its semiconductor chips and AI inference platforms used in these products.
Visitors will be able to explore the underlying platform technologies, including how Intel technology and open software work together to deliver business value. These include sensing technologies that capture information from the surrounding environment, high-performance edge AI inference and real-time control.
Intel said its Core Ultra Series 3 processors, software and partner ecosystem provide practical support for robotics manufacturers and developers. The combination enables AI systems to move beyond prototypes and operate in real-world environments with high reliability, fast response times and cost efficiency.
Edge AI performs AI computations directly on devices near where data is generated, reducing latency and improving security by avoiding reliance on central servers or the cloud. Physical AI refers to AI technologies that interact with the physical world, such as robots and autonomous vehicles. Agentic AI refers to autonomous AI models that independently make decisions and repeatedly perform complex tasks.
Web Summit is a global IT and technology exhibition scheduled for Nov. 9-12 in Lisbon, Portugal.
