POSCO Future M 在浦项科技大学举办 AI Festival，评估其 6 月启动的 AI 100-Day Challenge 成果，共选出 28 个优秀项目。大奖授予预测正极材料窑炉加热器状态的 AI 模型，可通过设备运行数据评估故障风险并确定检查优先级。公司计划在 2027 年上半年完成现场验证后将这些技术投入实际运营，目标到 2028 年上半年将制造生产率提升 30%、产品开发时间缩短 50%。

Company selects 28 projects, including equipment failure prediction technology

POSCO Future M held a competition to evaluate artificial intelligence (AI) technologies developed by its employees, selecting 28 outstanding projects.
POSCO Future M said on Oct. 14 that it held an AI Festival at Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH) in Pohang, North Gyeongsang Province, on Oct. 13 to share employees' achievements in applying AI. The event evaluated the results of its AI 100-Day Challenge, launched in June.
The grand prize went to an AI model that predicts the condition of heaters in kilns used to produce cathode materials. The technology analyzes equipment operating data to assess failure risks and determine inspection priorities.
Top excellence awards went to an equipment maintenance materials procurement system and a technology that automates particle analysis using electron microscopy.
POSCO Future M plans to deploy the selected technologies in actual operations by the first half of 2027 following on-site verification. It will also expand AI applications beyond manufacturing to research and development and procurement.
POSCO Future M aims to increase manufacturing productivity by 30% and shorten product development time by 50% by the first half of 2028.
